ARRC Technology proudly partner with Youth for Christ to deliver computers for those in need.
August 2021, Kern County; ARRC Technology, the specialists in computing, technology infrastructure, communications and networking solutions, are proud to have been able to make a positive impact on local children’s lives by supporting the work of the Kern County Youth for Christ initiative. Donating 10 full desktop computers to the non-profit for children, AARC and Youth for Christ are providing the tools children need to reconnect with the world post pandemic.
The 10 computers including monitors, are ready to go, and provide children who may otherwise not have access the equipment that can support them in their studies covering a wide variety of subjects. From engineering to writing, having a computer available can change outcomes for families and help children unlock their full potential.
Kern Country Youth for Christ are a non-profit organization that partners with churches and community organizations to help young children break away from harmful living environments. The ten workstations will be utilized as part of their afterschool program, providing support for children across the age range to take online courses, vocational studies and more.
Explaining why the company offered these computers, Sawyer Snowden, senior project manager for ARRC Technology, said “It’s always great to be a part of the community and be able to give back, especially the youth in particular because those are the people who are going to help define our futures.”
ARRC Technology believe in supporting their local community, and one of the key takeaways from their involvement with Kern County Youth for Christ has been the response from group leader hearing Pastor Sandra, who noted that "We rarely get thought of, and we rarely receive donations for our kids."
As a result, ARRC Technology are encouraging other businesses within the area to support this initiative too, and to help provide a platform for these children that allows them to fulfil their potential. With the focus on remote learning and online collaborations for education in our post pandemic world, ARRC Technology is also continuing this initiative with their computer donation program, Tech for Families, which aims to put computers in the hands of those who need them most.
